Navigating the Road Ahead

Written by Kate Wade on . Posted in , .

Commercial vehicle industry professionals are about to converge on the Indiana Convention Center for Work Truck Week 2026. Produced by NTEA – The Work Truck Association, it is North America’s largest work truck event.

The activities kick off March 10 with the Green Truck Summit, a premier technology conference expanded this year to include sessions on leveraging data, connected vehicles and artificial intelligence. In his keynote address, Ian Hucker, vice president of GM Envolve, will discuss the ongoing evolution of multistage commercial vehicles, including advances in vehicle design, powertrains, connectivity and equipment integration.

More than 500 companies are expected to fill Work Truck Week’s sold-out exhibit hall, open March 11-13, and New Exhibitor Pavilion, open March 11-12. This offers attendees a one-stop shop to discover new products; find new business opportunities; meet with current and prospective customers; and consult with management, product and engineering teams from multiple suppliers.

Want to do more than just look? Be sure to check out the Ride & Drive March 11-12.

“Ride & Drive is a unique opportunity for anyone at Work Truck Week to spend some hands-on time out on the road with the latest commercial vehicles and the technology that drives them,” said Christopher Lyon, director of fleet relations for NTEA. “They can choose to drive or ride along to take notes and photos. Manufacturer reps for each vehicle will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.”

Education remains a core component of Work Truck Week, with sessions running March 10-12. The 2026 programming is designed to equip companies with strategies to strengthen operations and prepare for what’s ahead. A mix of in-depth special sessions and shorter breakouts are divided into eight tracks: Advanced Fuels & Vehicle Technology; Chassis Update; Dealership Training; Fleet Management; Government Regulations & Advocacy; Market Data & Industry Trends; Vehicle Design & Certification; and Workforce Development.

Regarding OEM chassis updates, attendees can expect to hear directly from representatives of Daimler Truck North America; Ford Pro; Freightliner Custom Chassis; GM Envolve; Hino Trucks; International; Isuzu Commercial Truck of America; Kenworth Truck Co.; Mack Trucks; Mercedes-Benz USA; Peterbilt Motors Co.; and Ram Professional.
