While working the NTEA Work Truck Show earlier this Spring, I was invited by Alan Stager the General Manager of Dakota Bodies to stop by and tour their plant. That opportunity occurred July 2022 when I flew into Sioux Falls, SD and made the two hour drive North to Watertown. Ironically they were celebrating their 25th Anniversary. I took the tour and also had the opportunity to interview some employees. Please enjoy this 5 1/2 minute video on behalf of UFP Media.
Utility Fleet Professional Media is honored to have our staff invited to cover the invitation only Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) in Williamsburg, VA. This event is a tradition in our niche market for over sixty years. This is a slide show set to colonial fife & drum music that captures the spirit of the colonial area where the event is held. Hope you enjoy this and Happy 4th of July.
Allison Transmission of Indianapolis/Speedway IN opened a new vehicle testing facility and invited UFP to take tour. While there I also was able to study their history which is connected to the Indy 500 track, drive their new computer assisted drive train truck, tour the plant and get an early view of the new test facility that recently opened and is available to vehicle manufacturers. It was a great day and condensed into this 8 1/2 minute video.
It was great to be back in-person at the NTEA Work Truck Show at the Indianapolis Convention Center. Here are just a few of the exhibit booths and press conferences that Utility Fleet Professional covered. Enjoy!

When Terex Utilities, our longtime Back Cover Advertiser invited Utility Fleet Professional out to Watertown, SD to visit their new facility that opened May 2020, I jumped at the chance. The visit exceeded my expectations. When I arrived in Watertown you could see the facility glistening in The Plains off the side of the highway. I was impressed with the technology and attention to detail that went into building this operation. After my tour, I also had a chance to interview Joe Caywood, the Director of Marketing to get some insight into some of Terex Utilities’ accomplishments. If you are a bucket truck fleet manager, I highly encourage you to reach out to Joe and take the tour. It will give you an insight into how insulated aerial lifts are made.
