APWA PWX 2026 to Feature Event’s Largest-Ever Exhibit Floor

Written by Kate Wade on . Posted in , .

This year, the American Public Works Association will host its annual Public Works Expo (PWX) – the largest gathering of its kind – in Houston from August 30 through September 2. The event is expected to bring together more than 5,000 attendees at the George R. Brown Convention Center for what APWA describes as a “first-class multi-modal learning experience designed for professionals at all levels and across the entire spectrum of public works.”

PWX comprises four core components: exhibits, education, technical learning tours and networking.

A spokeswoman said the “exhibit floor in Houston will be the largest ever for APWA,” noting that exhibit space is completely sold out. How large exactly? Spanning 110,000 square feet, attendees are encouraged to explore an extensive selection of respected industry vendors, product displays, prize drawings, live presentations and interactive opportunities.

The conference will also feature abundant best-in-class educational programming. Attendees have a choice of more than 150 offerings, from immersive workshops and certificate programs to thought-provoking classroom sessions and technical learning tours. PWX tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at select locations in Houston.

Numerous networking opportunities are planned throughout the expo, including a first-timers and new members meeting, young professionals gatherings, and a 5K fun run and walk.
