Acela Unveils Next-Gen Monterra II

Acela Truck Co. has launched its next-generation Monterra II commercial truck chassis, introducing a bold new standard in performance, durability and versatility for fire, rescue, utility and vocational applications.

The Monterra II is one of the first American-made commercial truck chassis of its kind introduced to the market in decades. Purpose-built to meet the rapidly evolving demands of modern operators, the Monterra II will replace Acela’s current Monterra platform, building on its proven reputation while delivering meaningful enhancements and expanded capabilities. It is powered by a Cummins B6.7L turbocharged diesel engine producing 360 horsepower and 900 pound-feet of torque and paired with an Allison 3000 EVS six-speed automatic transmission.

Designed with flexibility at its core, the Monterra II will be offered in day cab, extended cab and crew cab configurations, along with 4×4 and 6×6 drivetrain options and commercial and military super-single axle options. www.acelatruck.com
