Terex Utilities Replaces Annual Service School with Workshops
Terex Utilities launched new maintenance training workshops this year to take the place of the annual Service School, typically held in June. The workshops are for mechanics working on Terex digger derricks and bucket trucks. The first two workshops have already occurred – one on the Hi-Ranger Optima bucket truck took place in January, and the other on digger derricks was held the first week of March. Participants came from a variety of states, from Maine to Nebraska.
Subjects and activities covered in these workshops may include understanding and using load charts; performing periodic inspections; troubleshooting PTO issues; changing the direction of a pump; and performing a leakage test on outriggers.
The workshops held thus far have had overwhelmingly positive feedback and many commented that they like the hands-on aspect.
Workshops planned for the remainder of the year include digger derricks, distribution aerials and the Hi-Ranger TM aerial device. Limited seats are available for 2025, and more workshops will be scheduled in 2026. www.terex.com/utilities/en/support/training/workshops
