Altec Cranes

Riding seat crane models from Altec Industries feature a new tilt cab option that allows the operator to adjust the angle of the cab with hydraulic power. Included are the truck-mounted and track carrier AC38-127S models. The truck-mounted AC23-95B from Altec features out-and-down outriggers to provide increased productivity during setup in confined areas with short-span, mid-span and full-span load charts.

Designed and built with integral safety features to help comply with new standards, Altec cranes include interlocks to help prevent boom operation prior to deploying the outriggers and outrigger controls at ground level, located within view of the shoes to help prevent crush hazards. Other safety features of the company’s models include winch drum rotation indicators that signal the operator of winch drum motion and speed, area protection in the load moment indicator that helps warn of potential overhead hazards, and load moment indicators programmed with a 50 percent de-rate for personnel handling with pin-on platforms.
